Our spiritual transformation training groups provide a supportive environment for individuals to deepen their understanding of prayer and Bible study.
This project is being presented with the hope that it will help spiritually deficient churches that wish to revitalize the spiritual life of their congregations. Asbury Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, the context, was an example of a church in need of a revitalized spiritual life. In other words, it was a congregation that needed a closer relationship with God. This project proposes that prayer and Bible study in a consistent manner will foster revitalized spiritual life in a congregation. I would like to give you a little background regarding my healing and accepting the Lord Jesus as my Savior. I believe this is when my relationship with the Lord became real. At the age of 22, the Lord healed my body. It happened on a Sunday morning after suffering with a nervous condition for over six months. On that particular morning, after trying to prepare Sunday dinner, I realized that I was too weak to continue so I decided to go back to bed. It was at that time that I found the Bible open on the bed; it was opened to St. John Chapter 14.1 I began to read that passage of scripture and it was at that time that the Word of God literally became “alive” for the very first time in my life. The Word actually began to heal my body starting at the top of my head and the feeling went down to my feet.
Our training groups are designed to support spiritually deficient churches in their quest for transformation.
